Wellness with Anand provides emotional wellness and embodiment coaching through meditation, somatic practices, and coaching to clients in Ireland and internationally. It is a registered company (Reg No: 741529) through the Companies Registration Office (CRO).
This Privacy Policy describes how Wellness with Anand, the data controller, collects, uses, and discloses information associated with an identified or identifiable individual (referred to in this Privacy Policy as ‘Personal Data’) and what choices you have around this activity. This Policy applies to all of the personal data that is collected about you, including information collected at events and information collected on www.wellnesswithanand.com and any other websites (including mobile access) where this policy is linked to.
Wellness with Anand values the importance of protecting its users’ privacy and details its commitment to your privacy in this policy.
From time to time this Privacy Policy may be amended. Any new policy or changes to this Policy will automatically be effective when it is published on this Site. It is recommended you return here regularly to view our most up to date Privacy Policy and print a copy for your records should you wish.
What personal data we collect
Contact information:
- We collect your name and email when you communicate with us by email.
- We collect your name and email when you subscribe to our Newsletter.
- We collect your phone number and name when you make contact via phone or a WhatsApp message.
- We collect the contact information you give us when you contact us through our website or on our social media channels.
- We collect your name, email, phone number, and, where applicable, your financial information, for any online or in person events we host.
- For online sessions, we collect your name and email to host the video call.
- If you complete a coaching intake form, we collect your name and email to assess your understanding and what you would like to achieve from coaching.
- As part of my accreditation and ongoing professional development with the ICF (International Coaching Federation) a coaching log is kept containing the client name, email, total coaching hours, as well as the start and end date for the coaching sessions. Explicit written consent is relied upon from you for this.
- If you participate in any quizzes, there is no email sign up requirement; however, you can opt to share your email on that platform and if so, your name and email will be collected.
- We collect your name and email if you agree to participate in any of our surveys.
- If you leave a comment on this website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also your IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Financial information:
- When you make a payment via our Credit Card provider or through electronic transfer, we will collect your name, email, phone number, and payment details.
Cookies:
- We use Google Analytics to track the performance of this website and your IP address may be used to gather broad demographic information. We do not use any information which, when used either alone or in conjunction with other information, could personally identify you.
Why we collect this data
The reasons we collect this data are to:
- Communicate with you about our services and products.
- Administer our partnership with you when you avail of any of our services and products.
- Perform the contract we are about to enter into with you, or any agreed sponsor who is paying for Coaching on your behalf.
- Keep you informed of upcoming events, products, and other services.
- Provide educational information on topics such as meditation, personal development, coaching, and other subjects in line with our service offerings.
- Fulfil our legal obligations.
- Process financial information.
- Improve our service offerings.
- Carry out research, including market research, statistical research on-site traffic, and other commercial information to help in improving the services we provide to you and tailor our website – this information is anonymised using Google analytics.
Our legal bases for collecting this data
- Consent: We rely on consent when you sign up for our newsletter, a survey, quiz, or when you make contact with us. You can unsubscribe or contact us at any time if you wish to withdraw this consent.
- Contractual obligation: We rely on this when we have a contract with you, for example when you sign up for coaching sessions.
- Legal obligation: When we have a legal obligation to obtain information about you. For example, we are legally required to hold financial records for 7 years.
- Legitimate interest: When we have a ‘Legitimate Interest’ that supports the functioning of our business. We will ensure this is fair and balanced and never unduly impacts your rights. We will only use personal information for a purpose that you would reasonably expect.
Sharing and disclosing your personal information
We do not share or disclose any of your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice, in fair processing notices, or where there is a legal requirement.
From time to time, we have other facilitators who may co-host an event with Wellness with Anand. They may have access to your name and email for the purposes of that workshop, but it will not be passed to them once the event is over unless you give your explicit written consent.
We use third-parties to provide certain services and we have data processor agreements in place with all third-parties. All processors acting on our behalf only process your data in accordance with instructions from us and comply with this privacy notice, data protection laws, and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
How long we retain your personal data
We only ever retain personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, or in line with any legal, contractual, accounting or reporting requirement. We operate on the basis of if we can delete it, we will. To determine this, we consider the nature and sensitivity of the personal data, any legal obligations to hold it, and our relationship with you, whether it is ongoing or ceased. We also consider if we can achieve the purpose through other means, the potential risk from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, and circumstances whereby you instruct us to delete your data.
Where you have given your consent either by contacting us or subscribing to our mailing list, we will keep that data until you notify us otherwise and/or withdraw your consent by unsubscribing from our mailing list. Protecting your personal data
We have strict access controls on who can access your personal data and it is limited to specific users only. We operate robust organisational and technical measures to ensure your personal data is kept safe and secure and carry out continuous reviews to ensure we safeguard your data, which includes the following:
- Taking all due care to protect your personal data from any loss, unauthorised access, modification, use, disclosure or destruction
- Limiting access to your personal data to those employees, agents, suppliers, and other third parties who have a business need to know and who will only process your data under our strict instructions
- Implementing security measures in place on our online systems through restricted access and data access controls
- Establishing procedures to deal with a data breach and will notify you and the Data Protection Commissioner of a data breach where we are legally required to do so.
Sensitive Personal Information
In the case where we have to collect sensitive personal information, we take extra precautions to ensure your sensitive personal information that we process or store on your behalf is properly safeguarded. We treat it with the highest level of confidentiality and ensure we have appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep it extra secure.
Data Protection legislation recognises that some categories of personal information are more sensitive. Sensitive personal information can include information on people’s health, race, ethnic origin, political opinions, sex life, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.
Transfers outside of the EU/EEA
In the course of our business activities, Wellness with Anand will from time to time transfer data outside of the EU/EEA (including to the United Kingdom). In such cases, we will have the appropriate transfer mechanisms in place with those third party providers we use as well as additional safeguards to protect that data as appropriate.
Your rights
You have rights over your personal data, and how your information is used. These rights are not absolute as some qualifications and restrictions may apply. To your rights are:
